The opportunity to explore the Aviary Ginger Garden to learn more about plants and discover the amazing beauty of Mother nature. The Zingiberales (an order of flowering plants) Gardens because it is home to all eight families of the Zingiberales — namely the Cannaceae (Canna), Costaceae (Costus), Heliconiaceae (Heliconia), Lowiaceae (Orchidantha), Marantaceae (Prayer Plant), Musaceae (Banana), Strelitziaceae (Bird of Paradise) and Zingiberceae (Ginger) families. There are also exotic plants alongside the native species. Part of the educational experience is for visitors to see if they can tell which ones are native to Malaysia. The birds include pheasants, parrots, pigeons and hornbills which were rescued from poachers..
